WHATSAPP   is rolling out a brand new feature that lets users delete messages they’re already sent. The WhatsApp update is being rolled out to the Facebook-owned messaging app’s more than one billion users. WhatsApp users will be able to delete messages that they have either sent to a group or an individual chat. Messages that have been successfully deleted in a chat will be replaced by “this message was deleted”. There is one catch though - WhatsApp users are only able to delete messages within seven minutes of sending it. The WhatsApp team said: “Deleting messages for everyone allows you to delete specific messages you have sent to either a group or an individual chat. “This is particularly useful if you sent a message to the wrong chat or if the message you sent contains a mistake. “Messages you successfully delete for everyone will be replaced with "This message was deleted" in your recipients' chats. “Similarly, if you see ‘This messag...

Oko, Anambra State, Nigeria. The management of Federal Polytechnic Oko Anambra State has issued a statement through the examination committee prohibiting its female students from wearing trousers and the male students from keeping beard, afro or grown hair during the examination. In what seems to be move to ensure absolute compliance to directives , the School's Anti -cult unit has been mandated to prevent defaulting students from accessing the examination halls. The All Progressives Congress (APC) has postponed its mid-term national convention earlier schedule for November until the first quarter of 2018. This was confirmed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi. However, the meetings of the party’s National Caucus and National Executive Committee (NEC) would still hold next week. He said: ”I can tell you that the convention is not going to take place until the first quarter of next year. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has so far released a total sum of N501.697 billion under the commercial agriculture credit scheme (CACS). Information obtained from the bank by  Eyes Of Lagos showed that the fund was deployed to boost 526 agriculture projects across the country. The document also showed that total repayment under the scheme was N251.156 billion in respect of 526 projects, out of which 281 projects had fully been repaid as at the end of September 2017. It was gathered that outstanding balance with lending banks was N250.541 billion as at September 30, 2017. The CACS was established by the federal government and is financed from the proceeds of the N200 billion three-year bonds raised by the Debt Management Office (DMO). The fund is made available to participating banks to finance commercial agricultural enterprises. The management of Ontario Oil and Gas limited has denied any fraudulent sale of refined petroleum products, as alleged by Union Bank Plc in ex parte application filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). On Monday, a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, ordered the temporary forfeiture of funds belonging to an oil company. Justice Hadiza Shagari gave the orders after listening to the application by the anti-graft agency. Speaking through its counsel, Ben Udoh, Ontario acknowledged approaching Union Bank Plc for a facility to import and market petroleum products in 2014. “Indeed, we approached Union Bank in 2014 for an $11 million facility. A letter of Credit (LC ) was issued same year but was amended to $9.9 million in May 2015. About 411 teachers participated in the maiden edition of the Teachers’ Professional Qualifying Examination in Lagos State, Gbolahan Enilolobo, State Coordinator of Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), has said. Enilolobo told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Tuesday that the exercise was made a computer based test (CBT) to expose teachers to digitalisation.
